You may have seen the FD out on Meetinghouse Lane earlier today. We were conducting some training, drafting from the Ponderosa out flow on the south side of Meetinghouse Lane. We also made our way down to South Shore Beach and utilized an appliance called the "TurboDraft". It is a drafting appliance that allow us to draw water from a distance as apposed to near by as with traditional drafting. In Little Compton we don't have a municipal water supply, so we have no hydrants. Our water comes from drafting from cisterns or sites where there is water; ponds, streams even the ocean if necessary.
