On Thursday 9/26 LCFD received numerous call for a brush fire at the east end of the Old Stone Orchard property on Colebrook Rd. Upon Arrival crews found a decent sized brush fire on the side of the road at the location. The fire was extinguished without further incident. The cause of the fire is unknown. Road side brush fires can be causes by numerous things. But, We'd like to remind everyone that discarding of cigarettes is a large cause for these types of fires. Please dispose of your cigarette butts in a proper receptacle. Disposing of cigarette butts on the the ground or side of the road is considered littering and can be very dangerous.
