Earlier today, Matthew Hughes was sworn in as a Probationary Firefighter. PFF Hughes has worked part time with LCFD for the last year. He fills a vacancy created by the unfortunate departure of Firefighter Johnson who was hired by another Newport County Department, Portsmouth Fire Department. We wish Firefighter Johnson the best in his career as a Portsmouth Firefighter. We are excited to have PFF Hughes joining the fulltime ranks of LCFD.
