On Wednesday December 28, 2022, LCFD responded to West Main Rd, north of Peckham Rd for report of an MVA with injuries. Upon arrival, crews found a single car MVA vs multiple utility poles. Vehicle occupants were out of the vehicle prior to Fire Dept arrival. The vehicle operator left the roadway and struck a utility pole breaking it in multiple places, before striking a second utility pole. Westport Fire Dept was contacted and an additional rescue was requested to transport the second passenger. Both occupants were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries for evaluation.
