Jan 20, 2026 - At approximately 12:50pm, Engine 1, Tanker 1, Car 1 responded to 69 Old Harbor Rd for a reported structure fire with vehicle involvement. Upon arrival, Car 1 reported heavy fire on the Charlie side of the residence. The East Bay Tanker Taskforce was activated. First due companies made an aggressive primary fire attack and mutual aid companies from Tiverton Fire Department, Westport Fire Department, Massachusetts, Portsmouth Rhode Island Firefighters, Bristol Fire Department-RI, Warren Fire Department - Warren, RI, Middletown Fire Department were critical in assisting bringing the fire under control. Rhode Island State Fire Marshal responded to investigate. A job well done by all responding departments. It was a great example of how well our East Bay departments work together when the call comes in.
