This afternoon, LCFD assisted Tiverton Fire Department for a water rescue on Nonquit Pond off of Pond Bridge Rd. A 911 call was received but no location was given. 911 was able to locate the calling party via GPS. LCFD responded with Car 2, Marine 2 and Rescue 1. Our crew was able to bring 2 parties back to shore and tow their canoe back as well. One party was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Training pays off! As noted in the sign pictured.
