Mutual aid Industrial / Brush Fire in Westport MA

The Little Compton Fire Department assisted with the massive effort to contain a fire at the Mid City Steel scrapyard and surrounding woods. Tanker 1 and Car 1 were dispatched at 1623 and supported water supply operations at the scrapyard fire, shuttling about 54,000 gallons of water over a 12 hour period. Forestry 1 was later dispatched to assist with containing the rapidly spreading brush fire on the east side of the site.
