Wire Down and Grass Fire on Pottersville Road

Today, crews responded to a downed power line with a small grass fire nearby. Despite the downed line, crews on scene suspect the fire may have been the result of improperly discarded smoking materials.

Please do not discard litter from vehicles, especially materials that could ignite a fire. Even a small amount of heat could ignite a fire in dry or windy conditions.
