Today, crews responded to remove a potentially hazardous lithium-ion battery. The battery which was in a laptop, was swollen. This is a sign that the battery could overheat or catch on fire. The battery was placed in a specialized container and removed from the property.

Don’t use damaged batteries.
Use the correct charger.
Keep away from heat.
Charge on a hard surface.
Stop charging or use if they become hot
Dispose of batteries according to the manufacturer recommendations
