-Generators must always be used outdoors, far away from doors, windows, and vents
-Homes should be equipped with working carbon monoxide alarms
-Follow manufacturer instructions
-Avoid refueling generators while running,
Before the storm reflect on how a power outage or inability to travel may affect you and your family. Do you have medical equipment that needs to be charged? A way to call 911 if the land line is down, in case of an emergency? Food that wont spoil without a fridge? |
